The academic quarterly Środkowoeuropejskie Studia Polityczne [Central European political studies] has been published regularly since 2003. The journal is issued by the Publishing House “Wydawnictwo Naukowe Wydziału Nauk Politycznych i Dziennikarstwa UAM” The periodical is accredited by the Polish Ministry of Science. The current number of points awarded for a paper published in it is 70.
All published papers are reviewed. Polish and foreign researchers publish their papers and reviews here. Papers are published in Polish and the authors’ native languages. Each paper published in Polish is accompanied by its abstract in English and each text in a foreign language – by an abstract in Polish.
The range of topics of papers published in the Środkowoeuropejskie Studia Polityczne encompasses the issues of broadly understood political science, in particular, the situation of Central and East European states, their internal affairs and international position.

The “Central European Political Studies Journal” is published in free access under the CC BY 4.0 License (Creative Commons Attribution). Open Access is understood by the publisher and the editorial board in accordance with the guidelines of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).

Following the official statement of the Polish Ministry of Education and Science of March 1, 2022, concerning the suspension of research and scientific cooperation with the Russian Federation, the Editorial Board of the journal decides to suspend cooperation with members of the Scientific Board and the journal reviewers, affiliated in Russia.
